This year, we have had a very strong entry of top players in Ireland including Scott Barron, John Doran, Eoin Heavey, Conor Taylor, in the Men's draws and Mariyana Levova,
Lynsey McCullough, Niamh Coveney, Maria Morrissey in the Ladies', the highlight being the third victory of Scott Barron and Mariyana Levova.
The Mixed Class 4 & Below, the Ladies Class 4 & Below as well as the Men's Class 4 and Below were the most popular events with full draws in each.
There was a total of 250 entries for the Irish Close, a substantial increase on the 2008 event.
