We were delighted to welcome Irish Tennis star, Conor Niland, to Donnybrook on the 6th April.
Conor gave a very informative talk to the Members present about his life as a full time tennis professional.
Conor also spoke about his time on tennis scholarship in the USA.
He gave us an insight into the challenges both mental and physical that he faces on a weekly basis on the tour.
Following Conor's talk, he took questions from the floor and the Junior Members in particular found this most enjoyable.
The following week, Conor and his fellow Davis Cup Members recorded a wonderful victory over Morocco.
Conor had the distinction of winning the vital fifth rubber.
In this match, he recorded a massive victory over former world No 14, Younes El Aynaoui, coming through 6/0 in the fifth and final set.
